Recycling Opportunities on St. Thomas
 
  1. The Market at Tutu – formerly called Plaza Extra – sponsors recycling of plastics (nos, 1, 2 and 5 on the bottom) without lids, as well as beer/soda cans.  Collection times are Saturday mornings, 9-11 in the tent next to the Market.  Plastics must be in a clear or white trash bag; cans can be in anything (e.g. green supermarket plastic bags).   See attached flyer for more details and what is acceptable.  The items, when crushed, are being shipped to Miami.
  2. Rotary East sponsors glass recycling and crushing the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month from 10:30 a.m.– 12:00 noon in the upper level of Red Hook Plaza – see below for more details.
